Conversion of a Grade II listed, early 18th-century townhouse located on St. John Street in the heart of Bromsgrove.
Previously used as a solicitor’s office and more recently as storage for the adjacent Dry Spy bar and restaurant, the client’s vision was to transform the space into a distinctive venue, primarily for weddings, with accommodation on the top floor. Ideally situated near the church, with gardens that lead down to the building, it offers a picturesque setting.
The vision was to create a contemporary hotel offering high-quality accommodations, sustainably designed to achieve BREEAM ‘Good’ certification. The hotel prioritises efficiency and technology, while preserving the buildings’ external appearance. Natural colours and finishes were selected to emphasise quality, comfort, convenience, and mindfulness.
